Winter is here, it’s school holidays and the City of Casey has come alive. Enjoy all of the below activities just a hop, skip and a jump away from your new home at Eliston.

The Big Freeze Winter Festival

When: Saturday 1st July – Sunday 9th July, 9am-5:30pm

Where: Under the Big Top at Fountain Gate Shopping Centre

What: Experience a snowy wonderland in the city of Casey. Bring the whole family down to enjoy the winter fun with a variety of activities such as snow pits, winter slides, a giant snow globe, snow forest and workshops with live entertainment.

Cost: Enjoy stage shows and free activities in the Community Precinct

Child SuperPass – $29.50 online

Adult – $19 online

Australian Ballet School Holiday Workshop

When: Monday 3rd July – Friday 7th July

Where: 65 Berwick-Cranbourne Road, Cranbourne East 3977

What: Ever wanted to learn the beautiful art of ballet? The Australian Ballet have arrived in Casey these school holidays to teach and mentor aspiring ballerinas. With 2 different age groups available to focus on the student’s skill levels and help develop strength and coordination.

Cost: $20 per persion

Make Your Own Hanging Herb Garden

When: Tuesday 11th July, 7pm-8:30pm

Where: Lynbrook Community Centre (Corner of Lynbrook Boulevard and Harris Street, Lynbrook 3976)

What: Unleash your inner creativity, roll up those sleeves and get your hands dirty as you learn to make your own hanging herb garden. A gorgeous feature to any kitchen or outdoor area.

Cost: $15 per person

Who can attend: Anyone and everyone

What to bring: Bring your own gloves (garden or plastic gloves will do)

Escape Room for Kids & Teens

When: Friday 14th July, 2pm-4pm

Where: 22-26 Stuart Avenue, Hampton Park 3976

What: Get your kids thinking these school holidays by bringing them to trial their first ever escape room. Team them up with their friends to unlock the truth and solve the mystery.

Cost: FREE

Who can attend: Preferably kids ranged from 8-16

Winter Arts Festival: BATS Theatre presents The Vicar of Dibley

When: Sunday 30th July 2017, 1pm-3pm

Where: Brunt Street, Cranbourne 3977

What: Bring the whole family along to enjoy this much loved comedy show originally written for actress Dawn French. Recreated by BATS Theatre, all of the Dibley gang will be there, with some surprise extras. The Vicar of Dibley is classified ‘M’.

Cost:  Adults $22 Concession $20

Who can attend: Everyone can attend, however the play is classified ‘M’.
