School holidays are here, warmer weather is here and it’s the perfect time to get outside and involved within your new community. There is lots on for the whole family in October including one of the local area’s biggest events, The Cranbourne GP Run, so make the most of it!

Colourful Cupcakes for Kids

When: Tuesday 3 October 2017, 12:30 – 2pm

Where: Lynbrook Community Centre, 2 Harris Street Lynbrook 3975

What: Bring 6 cupcakes and learn some fun tips and tricks on how to make them works of art!

Cost: $15

Ageing Positively Festival: Free 5km Timed Parkrun

When: Saturday 7 October 2017, 8am – 12pm

Where: Wilson Botanic Park, 668 Princes Hwy, Berwick 3806

What: It’s you against the clock in this timed 5km park run. Open to everyone and safe, enjoy a run and take in the gorgeous surroundings.

Chinese Cooking Demonstration

When: Wednesday 11 October 2017, 6-7pm

Where: Doveton Library, 24 Autumn Place, Doveton 3177

What: Learn how to create your own simple and fresh Chinese dishes at home, in this demonstration by Jenny Chua. Includes taste testing, of course!

2017 Cranbourne GP Run

When: Saturday 21 October 2017, 8:15-11am

Where: Corner High Street and Sladen Street, Cranbourne 3977

What: Join thousands of motorcyclists as they gather in Cranbourne to travel en-masse to Phillip Island for the 2017 Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix. Wave off is at 10am.

Cost: Free
