Looking for some family friendly fun during the winter school holidays? Discover what’s happening on our doorstep in Clyde and the City of Casey these school holidays:

Royal Botanic Gardens: Fairies & Elves

When: Tuesday 28 June & Thursday 30 June, 10:00am to 11:00am

Where: Corner of Ballarto Road and Botanic Drive, Cranbourne

What: Wear your best fairy or elf costume and search for the cheeky fungi fairies and elves in the Australian Garden. Bookings are required. $7.40 per child.

Royal Botanic Gardens: Night Prowl

When: Wednesday 29 June, 7:00pm to 9:00pm

Where: Corner of Ballarto Road and Botanic Drive, Cranbourne

What: Journey into the bushland to discover the native animals that emerge at night. Keep an eye out for wombats, wallabies and possums! Bring along a torch and dress appropriately for the weather on the day. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Note: program is subject to cancellation on days of extreme weather. Bookings are required. $17 per adult, $12.80 per child or concession.

Cranbourne Park: Meet and Greet with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

When: Week One, Mon 27 June to Fri 1 July

Times: 11am – 11:20am, 11:40am – 12:00pm, 12:20pm – 12:40pm, 1pm – 1:20pm & 1:40pm – 2:00pm daily

Where: Cranbourne Park, near Target

What: Everyone’s favourite two Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Donatello and Michelangelo, will be in-centre providing an opportunity for families to come along for a meet and greet. The special appearance is in line with the release of their new movie, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows.

Cranbourne Park: Kids Circus Workshops

When: Week Two, Mon 4 July to Fri 8 July

Times: 11am – 2pm daily

Where: Cranbourne Park, near Australia Post

What: Rollup, roll up and drop into our Circus Workshops. Kids can learn to juggle hula hoop spin plates and devil sticks.

Westfield Fountain Gate: The Angry Birds Craft Village

When: Week One, Mon 27 June to Fri 1 July

Times: 11am to 2pm daily

Where: Westfield Fountain Gate, located in the Kids Mall, level 2

What: These school holidays bring the little ones to the Angry Birds Craft Village. Make your very own Angry Bird lantern and meet Red, the angriest Angry Bird of them all!

Teenage School Holiday Program

When: Week One, Mon 27 June to Fri 1 July and Week Two, Mon 4 July to Fri 8 July, various times

Where: Various

What: The City of Casey Teenage School Holiday Program is open to young people of all abilities aged 12-17 years who live, study or have strong connections to the City of Casey. Each school holidays a wide variety of low cost, fully supervised activities are offered. The program offers young people from Casey the opportunity to make valuable connections with their community and peers, while having a lot of fun.
