Interior inspiration with Pantone’s Colour of the Year 2016

February 3, 2016 in Community, News

For the first time ever, colour authority Pantone have released not one, but two beautiful hues as the Colour of the Year for 2016. Blending the two colours,  ‘Rose Quartz’ and ‘Serenity’, provides a softer take on colour for 2016. Joined together, “Rose Quartz and Serenity demonstrate an inherent balance between a warmer embracing rose tone and the cooler tranquil blue, reflecting connection and wellness as well as a soothing sense of order and peace”, explains Pantone.

For us, that’s double the inspiration with ‘Rose Quartz’ and ‘Serenity’ already trending in interior colours, soft furnishings, appliances and fashion.

Pantone explains the unusually softer shades for 2016, “Rose Quartz is a persuasive yet gentle tone that conveys compassion and a sense of composure. Serenity is weightless and airy, like the expanse of the blue sky above us, bringing feelings of respite and relaxation even in turbulent times”. Read more about Rose Quartz and Serenity on the Pantone website.
