New schools on track to open in 2022

ELISTON CLYDE NORTH PRIMARY SCHOOL

We are excited to announce The Clyde North Station Primary School located within Eliston, is on target to be open first term of 2022, with the principal to be appointed in term 3 2021 and enrolments from prep to Grade 6 to commence shortly after. Victorian School Building Authority has shared the final designs for the new primary school currently under construction. The VSBA consulted with the local community, to inform the design and capture aspirations, ideas, local knowledge and the things that mattered most about how their school would look, feel and function.

The school will have the following facilities:​​

• an administration and resource intensive learning building
• two learning neighbourhood buildings
• a Performing Arts and Physical Education (PAPE) building, including an indoor multi-court
• two hardcourts
• sports field
• bike shelter
• Playgrounds

As well as walking to kindergarten and primary school, Eliston residents will also be able to soon walk to The Clyde North Secondary School also set to open 2022. The opening stage will deliver an administration and learning resource centre, STEM building, performing arts and physical education building, a learning neighbourhood, bike shelter, multipurpose hardcourt, and landscaped outdoor play and learning areas and places for 575 secondary school students. Subsequent stages will see the student population grow to 1,300 students, including 100 places for students with disabilities.
